Update: He is scheduled for a biopsy today to check for arteritis, an inflammation of the artery walls that can narrow the arteries and restrict blood flow.  This could be what caused his stroke.

He had surgery and is out of the hospital, recovering well at home.

She is scheduled for major surgery on June 30, related to her jaw cancer surgery a year ago.
